Why? Why? Why?

This blog is exclusively for those Tamil cinema lovers who expected a great movie in Dasavatharam but in turn were treated to one of the most egoistic and silliest movies that we have seen in a long time. So, here it is - your chance to vent your frustrations and disappointments. Do let the world know about why Dasavatharam sucked big time for you.

I will try to post some new polls from time to time. But for now, just pointing to one review by a Kamal fan who really looked forward to seeing this movie and who was terribly with the movie.

Dasavatharam - Reject

Take it away and share your disappointments.

Kamal is roaming around with "I know everything" mindset. He cannot give good movies unless he comes out of it.z

I was one of the guys watching the movie in Seattle. I totally agree with you. This movie was a torture start to finish. I really had high hopes on Kamal. He has made a mockery of himself in this movie.

I feel like I wated my money and time. I want half my money back AASACAR RAVICHANDRAN

Another good review.

Yamaha & Sridharsrini,

Thanks for your comments. Let us do our best to promote this blog and let the world know what a stinker of a movie this really is.

Totally agree. Thanks for coming up with this blog. All the hype and hoopla that was surrounding the movie. The producer spent nearly 5 crores to bring Jackie Chan for the audio release. They could have very well supported an upcoming director to take a low budget film for it.

Stop supporting the movie and refrain from watching it in theaters.

Capricorn,
That stupid audio release function was what put so many people off, I guess and there were so many who were waiting for this movie to be a disaster and it is what the movie has precisely turned out to be.

Rama Karthikeyan,
That was some awesome analysis. Didn't know that Google Trends could do so much.

It's a brilliant strategy from Tamil audience. When Kamal comes up with a brilliant movie like Guna or Anbe Sivam, they reject it completely. And then when he tries to break the mold and come up with something screwed up enough to appease these people, they expect him to come up with those 'good' movies which they rejected completely in the first place. There is something seriously wrong with the psyche of our people.

Krishnan, have you ever wondered why every single critically acclaimed Tamil movie in the last few years (Paruthiveeran, Pithamagan, Kaadhal, et al) were all super hits? Doesn't that point the finger at Kamal rather than at the Tamil audience? And you yourself cannot list more than 2 of his movies in the last 20 years :)

And all of his non-serious ventures have been big hits too. It is only when he goes on ego rides like this that the public just dump him.

If you say Pithamagan was a good movie, then that explains the standard of movie critics in this country. No wonder a classic like 'Hey Ram' bombed at the box office.
